What is it?

The Food Industry Trade Showhas established itself in recent years as one of the most important food and beverage events in the world. Therefore, many take advantage of this event to present their latest gastronomic creations.

 

Dates

The 2020 Barcelona Food Industry Trade Show will be held from Monday April 20th  to Thursday, April 23rd, 2020.

 

How to get there?

The event will take place in the pavilions of the Fira de Gran Via Hospitalet.

There are several options to get there by public transport:

Metro

If you are staying in the center, it is best to take the metro´s lines 1 (red) or 3 (green), up to Plaza de España. From there you have to transfer to catch the railways or a bus.

If you have near a line 9 stop. then you can go directly to the "Fira" station.

Railway

The Railways of the Generalitat de Plaza de España (not to be confused with those of Plaza Catalunya) will take you comfortably to the venue of the event. The stop is "EuropeFira"(only a 10 minute journey).

Bus

Most of buses passing through Gran Vía in the direction “Hospitalet”, will stop in front of the venue.  The H-12is one of the most frequently passed.

Taxi

A taxi from the city center will cost you around 12€, depending on the fare and traffic.

Last edition attracted 150,000 professional visitors and more than 4,000 exhibiting companies.

By way of example, some of the delicacies that were unveiled were gin and tonic croquettes, cecina (dried meat) fries or calçots (a type of onion) cannelloni.

  6. Expoconserver (dedicated to the world of cannes foods)
  7. Restaurama (special for restaurants).
  8. Snacks, Biscuits and Confectionery (designed to respond to the demands of this vertical).
  9. MediterraneanFood (Mediterranean food).
  10. And Alimentaria Trends (the greatnovelty in 2020, showing the latest trends in consumption and gastronomic production such as organic, functional or halal food, among others).

Tickets

Tickets are available on the official website of the event. These are the prices:

1-day Visitor: 70€ normal rate, 35€ pre-purchase.

2-day Visitor: 80€ normal rate, 45€ pre-purchase.

3-day Visitor: 95€ normal purchase, 50€ pre-purchase.

A pass gives you access to the venue and free activities. Be aware that children under 18 years old are not allowed in the event.
